Applying for awards is the perfect way to show off your innovative design or strategy on a project and put yourself or your business out in front of potential clients or employees. Awards tell a story about your style, vision and what you can accomplish. And when you win awards it boosts morale, and employees will continue to push themselves to a higher standard. But first you have to apply! So go ahead and show off a little.
We’ve put together a list of upcoming local and national awards that professionals in marketing, advertising and public relations can apply for. The deadlines to submit your award-winning projects are coming up quickly.

Feb. 8, 2016 — PRSA Silver Anvil Awards; Recognizes the best public relations programs of the year. Commonly referred to as “the Oscars of public relations profession.”
Feb. 18, 2016 — American Business Awards (The Stevie® Awards); A premier business awards program for achievement in business to organizations and individuals.
Feb. 16, 2016 — Effie Awards; Honors agencies and marketing professionals with the most effective communications cases in over 40 categories including products and services, business challenges, health and media. This award is international with opportunities to apply all around the globe. The Effie Award with the soonest deadline is the 2016 Positive Change Effie Award, which recognizes marketing programs that shift audience behavior toward environmental sustainability.
March 3, 2016 — The American Marketing Association (AMA) Iowa NOVA Awards; Awards the best in marketing excellence in several categories, including advertising, copywriting and public relations.
March 4, 2016 — PR News’ Agency Elite Awards; This award gives agencies the opportunity to receive some much needed peer validation and sets a benchmark of excellence in client PR efforts.
March 7, 2016 — PRSA Bronze Anvil Awards; Recognizes individual items of programs or campaigns. Items that contribute to the overall success of the public relations program.
March 25, 2016 — Content Marketing Awards; Recognizes and awards the best content marketing projects, agencies and marketers in the industry.
April 29, 2016 — PR News’ The Platinum PR Awards; Recognizes outstanding communicators, initiatives and organizations in public relations setting a benchmark for excellence in communications.
Sept. 28, 2016 — NAMA Awards; Honors the best work in the agricultural communication category. You must first qualify through the local organization to win the national award.
