Hollywood comes to Shippensburg.

The spotlight shined on Shippensburg, Pa., for three exciting days when Ingersoll Rand introduced key customers and trade media to its new line of milling, paving, and compaction equipment. With the milling machine as the up-and-coming star and the rest of the road-building line as a high-powered supporting cast, Ingersoll Rand rolled out the red carpet, Hollywood-style.

Two Rivers Marketing helped organize, design, and staff the event, which was billed as the Red Carpet Premiere and featured equipment demos, plant tours, and product videos playing continuously in a custom-built mini-theater in the plant parking lot. We also designed the movie-themed event invitation, the “Road Map to the Stars” event guide, product and directional signs, and hotel door hangers, and supplied four associates to take pictures, conduct tours, handle media requests, and keep the event running smoothly.

The Red Carpet Premiere drew 95 percent of the invited media, along with 300 key customers and their dealers. Many of the pavers, compactors, and milling machines used in the demos and displayed on the floor were sold before the event was over.

“This was simply the best customer event ever held at the Shippensburg facility,” said Mary Case. “The theme was fun and unique, the signs were attractive and helpful, and Two Rivers pulled out all the stops to make this event an overwhelmingly successful one.”
